Common Things I Hear

The common things I hear people say about my yummylicious.

"Comel nyaaa".

The most usual thing I heard when people looked at my cupcakes/cookies.

My cousin said I will eventually get bored listening to that. But nope.

I'm still very flattered. Hihihi.

But if anyone say that to the decorator instead of the goodies, I'll be more flattered.

Hahaha joking. Bad joke. 

 

 

 

 

 

"Sayang nyaa nak makan"

Yes indeed, I do spent my time decorating each and one of the goodies.

But I'm more than happy when you eat it and taste how good it is, InsyaAllah.

 

 

 

 

"Macam mana nak potong ni?"

The question I always hear specially for cakes and mini cakes.

And my answer everytime would be,

 "Potong je la macam-macam mana pun, masuk perut hancur juga".

Eh so brutal my answer.

 

 

 

 

 

"Bila you nak buka kedai?"

Hu hu hu. I will one day. InsyaAllah.

Do pray for me :)

I'm now gaining exprience of doing business from home.

Don't want to rush into things as I got so much more to learn.

"Any free cupcakes?"

Hahahaha the typical.

No comment on that.

Even my brother will check the oven or fridge for any cakes everytime he comes home.

 

Beautiful Wedding

 

 

6 inch, full fondant hantaran cake. Teal theme color.

My Mama's friend's daughter ordered this for her hantaran nikah.

She also ordered a cake and cookies from me months back for her engagement hantaran. This was the cake.

And for this week, I'll be making another full fondant cake for her bertandang to the groom's side. Can't wait for that.

 

Had so much fun making the cookies and cakes for her. And everytime, she's very happy with how they turned out. Such a lovely sister.

 

She emailed me this :

 

"Ok, thnks ili:)

My Brother's Wedding (Part 4)

 

 

Finally, the wedding cake. Here's the story. After assembling the cake at the venue hall, I totally forgot to take a picture of it. I regret till this day. How can you worked really hard on something for a week and then you just totally forgot to take a picture of it. Maybe in my head I was depending on the photographer.

 

Ok moving on, I did take pictures of some of the cakes at home. Only the small ones. It was a Sakura themed as both my brother and his wife studied in Japan. I know Sakura is pink but I changed it to match the theme color.

The top cake is a 10-inch cake.

Followed by four 6-inch cakes, middle tier.

And four 7-inch cakes bottom tier.

And yet it looked so small on stage. :P

One day of making the flowers. One and a half day of baking. One day of covering and putting everything together. 9 cakes all together with each different flavor (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, oreo, checkered, marble, you name it).

My wedding gift to my one and only brother. I need to go to a spa and get a head and shoulder massage. Hint hint.

 

 

 

Dear Ngah, hope you and Kak Jiha loved the wedding cake and the wedding overall. Banyak Yayah DIY ok !! Wish you all the best for your marriage. Now that we gained a new sister, instead of 2 against 1, now it's 3 against 1. Muahahaha. I want lots and lots of cute nephews and nieces, thank you. It's sort of like my catalogue.

There you will see how the prices of each item.

The prices are according to the price I was selling to the customer.

Therefore, the prices are different as all are customized with different designs, sizes and types.

For example : The picture may not show the cake inside, but two cakes with same designs but different type of cakes (one is a rainbow cake and the other one is normal vanilla cake),

then of course the prices of the cakes are different.

At each picture, there is description of the size and type for each cake or cookie.

My Brother's Wedding (Part 3)

 

 

The cake I made for my brother's hantaran.

7-inch vanilla cake.

Ivory ruffles with silver buttons.

My new sister-in-law's favorite color is blue.

Since our theme color is cream and silver, I can't put blue color in the fondant.

So this was a little surprise inside.

One thing I do regret until now.....I forgot to take a picture of the cake on the dulang hantaran that my mother made....!!!! Very frustrating.
