Abah's Birthday


 
 
 
A cake I made for my dad's birthday. But we celebrated a few days earlier since we had a small family vacation at Johor.
 
I have a cousin staying in Johor. He has 4 comel kids which my family and I just adore. So I brought the cake all the way to Johor. Luckily it was not that high of a cake. With my brother's driving and a full decorated cake, the combination just scares me a lot. But Alhamdulillah, the cake arrived in good condition.
 
 
Imagine that I had to do the cake as fast as I can on Friday while my dad is at work so he doesn't find out about the cake. And on Saturday morning, had to sneak it in into the car (My siblings drove one car, and my parents drove another car).
 
 
I wrote there 'Happy Birthday Tok Joe' instead of 'Abah' is because my nieces and nephews call my dad 'Tok Joe'. And another thing if you're wondering, why the cake is so small against the rule of cake decoration (at least 4 inch high). We only celebrated with the 8 of us. So I don't feel the need to bake another layer.
 
 
 
 
Happy birthday Abah..!! My prayers are always with you. Thank you so much for everything you had done for me. Thanks for my education, food, clothes, and the list goes on and on. Thanks for supporting me in my business. To always care about me and my future. I love you forever. May Allah bless you always.

Hantaran Cake



Cake for a hantaran.
6-inch blue ruffled cake.
Inside is an oreo cake.

The bride is my ex-schoolmate.
She just ordered the cake and let me decide on the design based on my creativity.
Love it when anyone ask me to do as I wish.
Got to explore new design.












At first I thought of only putting the blue fondant pearls at the front view of the cake.
But since this is a hantaran cake, people will look at all angles of the cake. 
That's why I put the pearls all around. So that it won't look so bare.











I'll be 24 this year, and my ex-schoolmates are starting to get engaged or married. The best part is, some of them chose me as their cake decorator either for their engagement ceremony or weddings.
It truly is my pleasure to make something pretty for their special day. 

I'm happy for each and one of them. And to Yani (the bride whom I made this cake for), I wish you all the happiness with your husband. May Allah bless your marriage and your new family. Hugs..!!

Fashion

 
I love fashion. Love seeing all those fashion hijabers out there.
But I'm the type that too conscious to try something new or different. Open my wardrobe and you will see nothing but dark and dull colors. Except for red since that's my favorite color.
 
Lately I am trying to wear something out of my comfort zone. Trying.
 
Anyway, since I'm a cake decorator (cookie decorator), I can now design dresses on cookies. Tshirts as well. Using all the pretty colors.
 
Next project (God knows when), I would love to decorate cookies exactly like designers' dresses. Or maybe a huge cake.
 
 



 
 
 
 
 
Oh btw, I miss writing entries like how I used to. Like this one. Maybe I'm just too busy with orders so I just upload pictures with short captions. Will squeeze my brain for more fun ideas to write entries.

Sakura Cake

Sakura themed wedding cake.
For my cousin's wedding last Saturday.
 

The biggest cake I made so far. My first 4-tier cake.
The biggest before this was only a 2-tier with a 11 inch for bottom tier.
 
I was nervous and excited. But I think more to nervous.
Got awesome help from my family. My Abah and brother helped with the cake board (drilling, cutting) and also with the delivery. Along with my sister and cousins. Mama helped with some of the baking.
 
The whole wedding theme was japanese theme. So of course the cake would be Sakura themed cake.

Top tier : Rich fruit cake
Second tier : Sugee cake
Third tier : Brookies
Bottom tier : Double chocolate cake with chips (The groom's favorite)
